Bed Time... Well Kind Of..

Yesterday I had a GREAT evening when I got home. Josh came home and put together the crib that my dad made for baby Keown.

The bed is made of maple, and stained dark (my favorite!) and the shelf is made from European Beech.

The bedding I picked out looks OUTSTANDING with this crib.

I couldn't be any happier than I am with this bed. I knew that my dad was good at what he does, but THIS, this is amazing. I have perma grin because of this bed.

Here is the detail of the wood. It has striping in it (not sure if that is the technical term for it) and it looks unbelievable! I wish that EVERYONE could see this bed in person. It's going to be my most cherished piece of furniture ever!

35 Weeks *Only 5 Weeks to go!*

How Far Along: 35 Weeks
Total Weight Gain: 27 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Most times
Stretch Marks: Still none, fingers still crossed
Sleep: So so. Still having issues with restless legs, getting up to go to the bathroom MULTIPLE times a night, and my hips/pelvis still hurts really bad when I roll over
Best Moment This Week: There have been a few. Josh got kicked again the other night and then refused to touch my belly again, baby Keown has started a new game, it's you poke I kick you back, it's goes on for as long as I continue to poke baby, and probably the best of the best was Josh telling me that he cannot wait to see what we have created. He's so excited for baby Keown's arrival!
Miss Anything: My body. I know that my body will never be the same, and I'm ok with that, I am just ready to have a not so round body and ready to walk normal again. I have to start off slowly and then I waddle like a pro.
Movement: Still tons. I know baby is running out of room in there but that doesn't keep him/her from wiggling around all the time.
Food Cravings: Watermelon and Frostys. . . but not together
Anything Making You Quesy or Sick: nothing new, just chicken at times
Gender: Still a surprise!
Labor Signs: Am having contractions more frequently (daily)
Symptoms: pelvic pain/pressure, swelling in ankles, feet and sometimes my hands (usually only in my hands if I am hot), and of course, my ever growing belly!
Belly Button In or Out: Out... it's weird. I have never had a outie belly button...
Wedding Rings On or Off: I can still get them on.. with some force, and getting them off requires either running my hand under cold water or using Windex.
Happy or Moody Most of the Time: Happy. We are getting so very excited for babys arrival. I am, of course, nervous but ready to see this sweet baby!
Looking Forward Too: This long weekend. But most importantly the arrival of baby Keown!! Not too much longer!

Getting Closer!

This weekend, Josh installed the babys carseat in my car. And I installed the rear facing mirror thing. This morning it was crazy driving to work and seeing the carseat in the mirror. One step closer to bringing baby home. So now, bags are packed, carseat is installed.. all we need is a baby. But we can still wait a few more weeks!

(That's the rear facing mirror in the carseat. I took it off the back seat because I do not need it just yet)

34 Weeks *6 More weeks to go!*

How Far Along: 34 weeks
Total Weight Gain: 27 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Yes. Still a few pre-pregnancy clothes
Stretch Marks: None. Knock on wood it stays that way
Sleep: Better than it has been, but I still wake up multiple times to use the restroom.
Best Moment This Week: Our doctors appointment this morning. I am free to resume life as normal! We made it to our goal of 34 weeks!
Miss Anything: My pelvis feeling normal.
Movement: ALL. THE. TIME! Yesterday I felt an actual foot poking out of my side, and when I touched it, it must have tickled because baby jerked that foot right back!
Food Cravings: Fruit. Frosty's. . .
Anything Making You Queasy or Sick: Still meat every so often
Gender: Still a surprise.
Labor Signs: I've had some contractions, and some sharp stabbing pains low in my pelvis, but the doctor says it is all normal.
Symptoms: My pelvis still hurts, but not AS bad this week ( I think the baby has adjusted a little), tired, more trips to the bathroom, ankles/feet swelling as usual
Belly Button In or Out: Half out, half flush with my belly. I told Josh when it all pops out, our turkey is done! haha
Wedding Ring On or Off: Still on but difficult to get on and off.
Happy or Moody Most of the Time: Still happy. Getting VERY excited to meet baby Keown and see if we are having a boy or a girl
Looking Forward Too: Seeing this sweet babys face!

Restless Leg Syndrome

Last night I was blessed cursed with Restless Leg Syndrome. IT. WAS. MISERABLE. I fell asleep on the couch around 9:00pm, Josh was helping a friend with some things at his friends shop and called me around 10:40pm to let me know that he'd probably be in a little later than expected. I decided at that point to get up, take a shower (because that relaxes me and usually helps me sleep), I crawled into the bed and just when I was getting comfy, BOOM it hit me. That uncontrollable urge to just shuffle your feet and legs. I tried my best to ignore it, but everytime I would stop moving my feet and legs the urge just came back. Josh got home around midnight, and was trying his best to be quiet. I think I scared him when I told him I was awake. He took his shower, came to bed, and off to dreamland he went. And I tossed, and I turned, and it was awful. The last time I looked at the clock it was 2:30am. When my alarm went off at 5:45am, it was almost impossible to get out of bed. I am just PRAYING for a better, more restful nights sleep tonight. I am doing ok right now, but I know come lunch time, I'm going to be exhausted!

Happy Hump day everyone! zzZZzzZZzzzZZ

33 Weeks *7 Weeks to go!*

(That is a Durian Fruit.. never even heard of it)

How Far Along: 32 Weeks 6 Days
Total Weight Gain: 25 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Yes, but still can wear SOME pre-pregnancy clothes
Stretch Marks: Nope
Sleep: HA! I sleep until I roll over, and then the pain is so bad it wakes me up, or until I have to get up for one of my MANY trips to the bathroom. I should take naps at work, instead of lunch breaks. :O)
Best Moment This Week: Hearing from the doctor that we could have gotten a false positive with the fibronectin test, and that we would only need to be seen once a week instead of twice. SHEW!
Miss Anything: Walking without feeling pain and being able to get comfortable.
Movement: All the time! I'm pretty sure baby has a daily party in there. I love it!! Every kick and jab and roll is just amazing!
Food Cravings: Watermelon. I got a personal watermelon at the store last night and as I was cutting it up, I think I ate more than I put in the bowl!
Anything Making you Queasy or Sick: Still just my battle with eating meat. But it is not as bad as it was before.
Gender: Any guesses? I am still leaning towards boy, but Josh thinks baby Keown is a girl
Labor Signs: Some Braxton hicks contractions, but only periodically. The doctor said I could be having up to 3 or 4 a day at this point. Ouch
Symptoms: Mostly pelvic pain. I have noticed that I am starting to get tired again, like in the first trimester, and it doesn't take much for me to feel exhausted and need to sit down.
Belly Button In or Out: Majority out. This has happened in the last few days. I think that the entire thing is going to pop out.
Wedding Rings On or Off: Still on but sometimes putting them on or taking them off is a task.
Happy or Moody Most of the Time: Still happy. And getting excited and nervous for baby to arrive
Looking Forward Too: Finishing the nursery this weekend. Just need to put the changing table together and hang the blinds and 'art work' on the wall and it will be complete! (Until we get the bed that my dad is building, CAN NOT wait for it to be done!)

Doctor Update

Welp! Went to the doctor yesterday and still no change in my cervix and I'm still not dialated! That's GREAT news!! I was told that I can now be seen once a week and she thinks that I am ok.
There is a possibilty that I had a false positive with the fetal fibronectin test, however, if she were to test me again, and it come back negative, it doesn't 'cancel out' the positive. They do another test at 37 weeks. But at 37 weeks, it's ok if I go into labor in the following two weeks. So now we just continue to wait for baby to make his/her arrival.
The doctor also told me I can be a little more active, BUT no jumping on pogo sticks! ha! Josh and I can finally BREATHE. But we are still asking for prayers to get us to AT LEAST 36 weeks. We are almost there, and it's almost time for baby! So exciting!

32 Weeks -8 Weeks to go!!

How Far Along: 31 Weeks 6 Days
Total Weight Gain: 22 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Mostly
Stretch Marks: None. Fingers still crossed.
Sleep: Spotty. Sometimes I sleep good, other times I do not.
Best Moment This Week: All the movement.
Miss Anything: Being able to do things around the house. This sitting on the couch all evening thing is for the birds. Not my idea of fun! haha! But necessary to make sure baby stays in there a little longer!
Movement: So much movement! It's so neat to just feel baby roll across my stomach. I'm figuring by now that baby is officially in the 'fetal' position and has limited moving space.
Food Cravings: Ice Cream. Butter Pecan to be exact. Those ice cream sandwiches Josh got weren't too bad either :O)
Anything Making You Queasy or Sick: Nope. The thought of eating meat makes my cringe, but I can handle eating once it's cooked and in my face.
Gender: Still do not know! I say a boy, Josh says it's a girl. We shall see in approx. 8 weeks!
Labor Signs: A couple Braxton Hick (practice) contractions. But I don't think they were anything to worry about.
Symptoms: Waddling like a duck/penguin, feeling a bit more tired, yesterday I was hurting so bad in my pelvis, lower stomach and back that I could barely walk (that was fun), I'm also hurting in my pelvis again today. I've really enjoyed being pregnant so far, and the only thing making me not like it is the pain in my pelvis. I think it's God's way of telling me I need to listen to my doctor and rest! I'm listening!
Belly Button In or Out: Still half and half. It's really creepy looking.
Wedding Rings On or Off: On, but Josh asked me to stop wearing them just in case my hands swell and they get stuck. I just can't bring myself not to wear them yet.
Happy or Moody Most of the Time:  Happy. Getting excited/nervous about the arrival of baby Keown. The anticipation of knowing if baby is a boy or girl is starting to get to me!
Looking Forward too: Getting the nursery done this weekend. Josh is going to carry everything upstairs into the room this weekend and I am going to sit in the rocking chair and sort things. And also on his agenda is getting the swing put together! He'd better get going, cause he has a changing table on the way the is going to require being put together as well!

Other News:
Went to the doctor on Tuesday. Everything is still good. Well, by good I mean, hasn't changed. I am not dialating any but my cervix is still short. So we are just still seeing the doctor twice a week. I go again today to see her. Only two more weeks until we get to our goal of 34 weeks. (My goal is 36-37 weeks but dr said 34 weeks would be ok too). Will keep you posted!
